Qualifikationen

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
Materials & Processes Engineer (d/f/m)
We have a great opportunity for a Material & Process Specialist position, who will be mainly responsible for the FCAS activity connected with Low Observability innovation and development in Bremen. Our team is supporting the Air Power Business Lines including Future Combat Air System (FCAS), who manufacture and innovate tactical and strategic airlifters and unmanned aerial systems, multi-role aerial tankers and advanced combat aircraft.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Support to the Design Team for developed applications for the new FCAS program
  • Define test plans for materials development in collaboration with suppliers and laboratories, in accordance with design specifications
  • Creation of specification / adaptation of existing specs for new programs
  • Participate in the design principles definition
  • Coordinate the activity with local teams and teams in other Airbus sites
  • Coordination of Material Selection List - creation & update
  • Translate A/C requirements into technical requirements and define deliverables
  • Participation in Low Observability projects would be appreciated

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Engineer or Sciences Degree with proven professional experience in Materials and Processes Projects
  • Several years experience in Material & Processes in the area of surface treatment (TSA, CAA, etc) and coating
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Knowledge of Aircraft definition & development
  • Communication skills in front of suppliers and internal customers
  • Fluent in German and English
