We are looking for a dedicated and forward-thinking Materials Manager to work with our team at the Monchengladbach fulfillment center!

Part of our Isolation Valves business unit, the site collaborates with numerous Emerson teams across Europe to assemble and deliver solutions to our customers. This role will have full responsibility for the site, including cost control, profit and loss (shared with other parts of the organization), with a key focus on safety, quality, continuous improvement, and fostering a culture aligned with Emerson's values and expectations. You will set and drive the site’s strategy based on high-quality decision-making and alignment with global objectives.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  1. Leading and managing the planning, execution, and successful completion of multiple projects, ensuring effective control over budgets, timelines, and resources.
  2. Developing and implementing strategic policies for planning, purchasing, and supply chain management, including inventory optimization initiatives.
  3. Driving improvements in planning processes, including enhancements to Oracle systems, to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Operations and Finance to create accurate shipment forecasts and budgets, focusing on on-time delivery and cost control.
  5. Ensuring a balanced approach to cost efficiency and resource utilization, optimizing the use of local and global resources.
  6. Providing leadership and oversight to teams responsible for Master Scheduling, Purchasing, and Material Management, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  7. Maintaining strong supplier relationships to secure high-quality materials and timely deliveries, supporting overall supply chain strategy.
  8. Promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, proactively addressing root causes of issues.
  9. Ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments, including Sales, Operations, and Finance, to align activities with company objectives and deliver exceptional customer value.

You are an organized and proactive individual with experience in materials management or supply chain roles. You excel at optimizing inventory, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials. Your strong communication skills enable effective collaboration across teams. You are committed to continuous improvement and maintaining high safety and quality standards. With good budgeting and cost control skills, you are eager to grow in a dynamic environment. Fluent in English, you are prepared to work in a global team and contribute to operational success.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Leadership and operations experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, developed through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and market dynamics.
  • Financial acumen to ensure effective cost control.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration.
