Position: Materials and Manufacturing Specialist for Steel Support Structures

We are seeking a specialist to join our Project Certification department in Germany or Denmark. The role involves certification and verification services for offshore wind farms, transformer stations, onshore support structures for wind turbines, floating structures, and other innovative technologies, covering all certification phases from design review to operational inspections.

What You'll Do
  • Review and verify fabricator's QAQC documentation, welding, coating, and NDT procedures related to fabrication of steel structures for wind turbines, offshore substations, or floating wind farms.
  • Evaluate material and manufacturing specifications, corrosion protection standards, and design documentation, collaborating closely with the steel design team.
  • Conduct technical audits, shop approvals, and follow-up inspections at welding workshops across Europe, with occasional global travel.
  • Assess and address non-conformities during construction.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team on project certification activities, coordinating inspections with local surveyors globally.
  • Serve as Technical Lead or Package Manager during the fabrication phase of offshore wind projects, especially in markets like the US, Taiwan, and Europe.
  • Perform site surveys during new constructions or operational phases of offshore projects.
