Job Description

• As Material Field Buyer (f/m/div.) You independently conduct strategic supplier discussions, from the planning and execution of price negotiations to contract management and the support of escalations or supplier development programs.
• Your responsibilities include managing parts families. You develop supplier strategies independently and make decisions regarding award allocations.
• Thanks to your expertise, you assume responsibility for the day-to-day business and data quality within a defined material field. You ensure that all data is accurate and up-to-date, contributing to efficient business operations.
• Additionally, you support the team by evaluating purchase prices in a structured manner. You check the plausibility of prices through part price comparisons and shadow calculations, ensuring optimal purchasing decisions.
• You think in a structured way and pursue rational projects. By identifying opportunities for improvement, you contribute to the continuous optimization of our procurement processes.
• You are also an integral part of our international team. Global collaboration is key, and you will participate in both domestic and international business trips to support our global projects.

Qualifications

• Education: A degree in industrial engineering, business administration, or a comparable field
• Experience and Knowledge: Several years of professional experience in purchasing or related fields, with a solid technical understanding
• Personality and Working Practice: strong negotiation skills; a high level of responsibility; a proactive mindset
• Languages: Fluent in both English and German
