Job summary

Rodenstock, a global leader in ophthalmic lenses based in Munich, seeks an experienced professional for international supply chain planning and mass item planning. You will manage procurement planning, forecast creation, and inventory analysis while collaborating with Master Data, Production and Product Management teams.

You will lead interface activities across sites, contribute to process improvements, and work with SAP and APS tools in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• International supply chain planning experience with mass item planning
• Experience with replenishment planning methods
• Optical industry experience is a plus
• Strong SAP and MS Excel skills, APS software familiarity
• Business-fluent German and English
• Ability to digitalize material flow structures end-to-end
• Communicative and proactive team player with customer/result orientation
• Analytical and structured work approach with IT affinity

Responsibilities

• Control a portfolio of internally manufactured and externally sourced materials covering demand, inventory and procurement planning
• Use and manage planning software in conjunction with SAP
• Create rolling forecasts, replenishment concepts and analyze inventory data
• Interface between internal and international stakeholders (Master Data, Production, Procurement, Product Management)
• Implement integrated planning for international, cross-site raw material planning
• Schedule management and availability checks for customer orders
• Participate in projects to optimize supply chain planning processes

Your responsibilities

• Control of a portfolio of internally manufactured and externally sourced materials, covering demand planning, inventory planning, and procurement planning to ensure supply availability
• Use and management of planning-specific software solutions in conjunction with SAP
• Planning through the creation of rolling forecasts, replenishment concepts, and the analysis of inventory and consumption data, including the derivation of appropriate measures
• Acting as an interface between internal and international stakeholders, particularly Master Data, Production, Procurement, and Product Management
• Implementation of a system-supported, integrated planning approach for internationally and cross-site aligned raw material planning
• Scheduling management and availability checks for customer orders
• Active participation in projects aimed at optimizing supply chain planning processes, e.g. partial automation initiatives

Your profile

• Completed degree in economics or commercial vocational training, preferably with an additional qualification
• Several years of professional experience in international supply chain planning, particularly in mass planning of items, as well as in project management
• Expertise in various (replenishment) planning methods
• Experience in the optical industry is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly MS Excel), SAP, and ideally APS software
• Business-fluent in German and English
• Ability to understand and digitalize material flow structures as an end-to-end process
• Communicative and proactive team player, combined with a high level of customer and results orientation
• Analytical skills, a structured way of working, and affinity for IT
