Position Description:

  • Develop parameter sets for new and existing materials to be processed by SLM and perform full qualification focusing on material performance, geometrical accuracy, process stability, and productivity.
  • Prepare detailed reports of experiments for internal use and write external white papers and conference presentations of developed results.
  • Conduct deep statistical analysis of material properties data to ensure high confidence levels and high standards of material performance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers, technicians, engineers, and scientists in an international environment to address customer needs related to material parameter development and qualification.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace) or Physics.
  • Professional experience in material development and/or additive manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in post-thermal treatment of materials, focusing on microstructure and mechanical properties of additive manufactured materials.
  • Broad experience in material testing during qualification, benchmark part production, and machine acceptance tests.
