Trinseo sucht eine Master-Studentin oder einen Master-Studenten für ein Gap-Year-Praktikum im Battery Application Laboratory der Latex Binders F&E-Zentrale in Rheinmünster, Deutschland. Sie arbeiten in einem internationalen Team an Formulierungen und Prototypen, testen diese und interpretieren Ergebnisse im Kontext der Polymer-Eigenschaften.

Sie arbeiten eigenständig, bringen Initiative mit, kommunizieren gut im Team und nutzen Windows/MS Office.

Qualifications

• Master-Student in Chemistry, Formulation, Materials Science, Electrochemistry oder verwandtem Gebiet.
• Starkes Interesse an Battery-Technologien in Laboren.
• Eigeninitiative und Selbstständigkeit bei Formulierungen und Tests.
• Gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und Teamfähigkeit.
• Gute Englischkenntnisse.
• Gute EDV-Kenntnisse (Windows, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Formulierungen erstellen und Prototypen zur Prüfung vorbereiten.
• Prototypen testen und charakterisieren; Ergebnisse im Battery-Bereich interpretieren.
• Entwicklung, Verbesserung und Implementierung von testspezifischen Methoden.
• Labor-spezifische Sicherheitsverfahren, analytische Techniken und Betriebsprotokolle anwenden.
• Zusammenarbeit mit dem Labor-Team und Teilnahme an wöchentlichen Laborabläufen.
• Präsentation von Projektergebnissen am Ende des Praktikums vor dem globalen Application R&D Team.

For our Latex Binders R&D Center of Excellence in Rheinmünster, Germany close to Strasbourg and Karlsruhe we are looking for a Master Student for a Gap Year (m/f/d) in our Battery Application Laboratory.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Make formulations and prepare final prototypes to be tested.
• Test and characterize prototypes. Interpret results within project(s) related to the Battery field and build relationships between application performances and Trinseo polymer properties.
• Contribute to the development, improvement, and implementation of application-specific test methods.
• Learn and apply lab-specific safety procedures, analytical techniques, and operational protocols.
• Collaborate closely with the laboratory team and actively participate in weekly lab operations.
• Present project outcomes to the global Application R&D team and/or the R&D Department at the end of the internship.

Qualifikationen

• Master student in Chemistry, Formulation, Materials Science, Electrochemistry or related field.
• Strong interest in working within application laboratories focused on Battery technologies.
• Initiative and autonomy in carrying out the formulations and tests.
• Good communication and interpersonal team skills.
• Good working knowledge of English.
• Good computing skills (Windows / Microsoft Office package).
