Job summary

Trinseo in Rheinmünster, Germany, is seeking a Lab Technician - Adhesive & Sealants to join the Latex Binders R&D Center of Excellence. You will make formulations, prepare prototypes, and test them to support adhesive applications.

Ideal candidates are laboratory technicians or Master students in chemistry or materials science, with curiosity for formulation and strong teamwork; English skills are required, German is not essential.

Qualifications

• Laboratory Technician or Master student in Chemistry, Formulation, Materials Science or related field.
• Strong interest in working within Adhesives & Sealants application laboratory.
• Initiative and autonomy in carrying out the formulations and tests.
• Good communication and interpersonal team skills.
• Good working knowledge of English. German is not required.

Responsibilities

• Make formulations and prepare final prototypes to be tested.
• Test and characterize prototypes. Interpret results within project(s) related to the Adhesives & Sealants and build relationships between application performances and Trinseo polymer properties.
• Development and implementation of applications tests.
• Learning of the lab specific safety procedures, analytic methods and laboratory operating procedures.
• Be part of the lab team and participate to the weekly lab operations.
