DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Marketplace serves over 300 million customers worldwide. Customers search, buy, and review products sold by third-party sellers and Amazon itself. Since 2000, Amazon has provided a virtual platform for individuals and businesses of all sizes to reach hundreds of millions of customers, build brands, and grow their businesses. Currently, third-party seller products account for more than half of all units sold on our Marketplace.

The Strategic Account Services (SAS) program aims to maximize the potential of each Amazon seller on our Marketplace, covering categories from fashion to consumer goods. Our team offers top-tier strategic advice through a data-driven, collaborative, and customer-focused approach to help sellers achieve their goals. Our comprehensive services include advice on international expansion, portfolio optimization, fulfillment strategies, product presentation, sales promotion, advertising, and brand building. Sellers also receive operational support from a dedicated team.

As a Marketplace Consultant, you will independently and strategically manage your own seller portfolio. Your goal is to support your sellers in business growth and program satisfaction by working backwards from their goals to develop a roadmap. You will use your analytical skills to identify untapped potential and may also be responsible for recruiting and onboarding new sellers. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Europe and have many opportunities for professional development at Amazon.

Key responsibilities

  1. Seller Partner Management: Manage a portfolio of diverse sellers, develop tailored strategies, create implementation timelines, manage expectations, and serve as the main contact.
  2. Business Analysis: Provide data-driven recommendations for your sellers’ businesses using various analytical tools to interpret customer data.
  3. Consulting: Use your Amazon expertise to advise sellers on opportunities and evaluate potential impacts on their business.
  4. Implementation Support: Assist sellers in executing strategic plans, answer ad-hoc questions, and help solve specific challenges.
  5. Relationship Building: Build trust with each seller through close collaboration and delivering results, fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
  6. Coaching: Keep sellers informed about Amazon solutions and updates to enhance their selling experience.
  7. Business Reviews: Prepare detailed performance analyses and present them to facilitate strategic discussions.
  8. Subject Matter Expertise: Take responsibility for specific topics within the service organization, such as branding, fulfillment, hiring, tools, promotions, and events, to support colleagues and improve processes.

About the team

We aim to accelerate long-term growth and enhance Seller and Customer Experience by providing sellers with dedicated account managers for tailored strategies and support. We work closely with sellers to foster innovation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a similar field from a top university.
  • Experience in Tier-Level Consulting, Key Account Management, Sales, B2B, E-Commerce, Business Development, Digital Marketing, Brand Management, Supply Chain, or related areas.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets using Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability in strategy development, customer acquisition, management, and engagement at leadership levels.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, with excellent presentation skills across organizational levels.
  • Passion for creating engaging customer experiences and translating customer needs into business and product requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams including tech, marketing, design, and merchandising, analyzing dependencies, managing risks, and escalating when necessary.
  • High attention to detail and managing multiple priorities.
  • Sound business judgment and influencing skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools.
  • Creativity, initiative, and a customer-centric mindset.
