This position will implement and execute marketing programs for the Region and drive adoption and growth of da Vinci surgical procedures. The focus will be on strategic growth areas for Gynecology and Urology. The Marketing Manager is expected to work with a cross-functional regional sales and training team, collaborating closely with the European marketing group.

The primary function of this position is to execute the following global marketing standards at a country/regional level:

  1. Understand your market: Open / MIS rate, national outcomes, surgeon/patient/hospital segments, reimbursement levels, incumbent surgical techniques, and KOLs.
  2. Maintain alignment on target procedures/products, helping define what is being driven and why within the commercial org, and keep all teams focused on this strategy.
  3. Build value propositions, stories, tools, and events; engage 3Ps (Physician, Patient, Provider) in the right sequence.
  4. Develop speaker/teacher/executive KOLs with strong technique outcomes and use of advanced technology.
  5. Quantify impact (QTI) with clinical, economic, and strategic evidence from key da Vinci surgeons/hospitals as references.
  6. Align with surgical and executive societies to support and partner on da Vinci surgery initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Understand your market:
  1. Develop and execute regional/country marketing tactics focusing on Gynecology & Urology, with detailed activities aligned with a timeline and budget, in collaboration with the Sr. Group Manager Marketing DACH, European marketing team, and local sales leadership.
  2. Partner with clinical and capital sales teams for analysis, targeting, and regional action planning in a competitive environment.
  3. Collaborate with Market Access and Clinical Affairs to develop publication strategies supporting procedure adoption.
  4. Coordinate with Training to support regional sales team development and deliver content for company meetings.
  5. Act as a Medical Device Consultant (Medizinprodukteberater) in Austria and Germany after training, providing guidance on handling Intuitive medical devices.
Build Value Props, Stories, Tools, Events, and Engage 3Ps:
  1. Deliver marketing and sales tools to meet short and long-term goals for procedures, products, and system sales; develop KOLs.
  2. Partner with surgeon champions to develop and implement robotic clinical education programs and symposia.
Quantify Impact (QTI):
  1. Work with Market Access to develop cost-effectiveness and value strategies.
  2. Collect, analyze, and share competitive data for strategic positioning.
  3. Validate clinical and economic data with reference centers, KOLs, and proctors.
Align with Surgical and Executive Societies:
  1. Develop and implement presence at key conferences, including robotics symposia, postgraduate courses, live surgeries, and trade shows.
  2. Collaborate on standardized robotic training pathways and curricula with surgical societies.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  1. At least 3 years of clinical or product marketing experience in a therapeutic medical device company, with a preference for Gynecology & Urology experience.
  2. Strong knowledge of procedure steps and anatomy in relevant surgical specialties.
  3. Surgical or operating theater sales experience is preferred.
  4. Proven ability to position and communicate procedure/product messages effectively and develop sales support for adoption.
  5. Experience in building clinical education and marketing programs to grow products/procedures.
  6. Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written.
  7. Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business.
  8. Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills across multiple stakeholders.
  9. Self-starter with leadership ability in unstructured environments.
  10. Strong project management skills, including budgeting, organization, prioritization, and multitasking.
  11. Proficiency with MS Office suite.
  12. Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel.
