This position will implement and execute marketing programs for the Region and drive adoption and growth of da Vinci surgical procedures. The focus will be in strategic growth areas for Gynecology and Urology. The Marketing Manager is also expected to work with a cross-functional regional sales and training team, working closely with the European marketing group.

The primary function of this position is to execute on the following global marketing standards at a country/regional level:

  1. Understand your market: Open / MIS rate, national outcomes, surgeon/patient/hospital segments, reimbursement levels, incumbent surgical techniques, KOLs, etc.
  2. Maintain alignment on target procedures/products: Help define what is being driven and why within the commercial org and keep all teams focused on this strategy.
  3. Build value propositions, stories, tools, events, and engage 3Ps (Physician, Patient, Provider) with targeted messaging in the right sequence.
  4. Develop Speaker/Teacher/Executive KOLs with strong technique outcomes and use of advanced technology.
  5. Quantify the impact (QTI) with clinical, economic, and strategic evidence of key da Vinci surgeons/hospitals as references.
  6. Align with relevant surgical and executive societies on da Vinci surgery to ensure support and partnership.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Understand your market :

  1. Develop and execute regional/country marketing tactics focusing on Gynecology & Urology, including detailed activities within a defined timeline and budget, in collaboration with the Sr. Group Manager Marketing DACH, the European marketing team, and local sales leadership.
  2. Partner with clinical and capital sales teams in a competitive environment for analysis, targeting, and regional action planning.
  3. Work with Market Access and Clinical Affairs to develop publication strategies supporting procedure adoption.
  4. Collaborate with Training to support regional sales team development and deliver content for regional meetings.
  5. Act as a Medical Device Consultant (Medizinprodukteberater) in Austria and Germany after training, providing guidance on handling of medical devices.

Build Value Props, Stories, Tools, Events, and Engage 3Ps

  1. Deliver marketing and sales tools to achieve goals for procedures, sales quotas, products, and systems. Develop KOLs.
  2. Partner with surgeon champions to develop robotic clinical education programs and symposia to drive utilization of da Vinci Surgery.

Quantify the impact (QTI) with clinical, economic, and strategic evidence

  1. Work with Market Access to develop cost-effectiveness and value strategies.
  2. Collect, analyze, and share competitive data for strategic positioning.
  3. Validate clinical and economic data with reference centers, KOLs, and proctors.

Align with surgical and executive societies

  1. Develop and implement presence at key conferences, symposia, PG courses, live surgeries, and tradeshows.
  2. Collaborate on robotic training pathways and curricula with surgical societies.

Qualifications :

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :

  1. At least 3 years in clinical/product marketing within a therapeutic medical device company, preferably with Gynecology & Urology experience.
  2. Strong knowledge of procedure steps and anatomy in relevant surgical specialties.
  3. Surgical or Operating Theatre sales experience is preferred.
  4. Proven ability to position procedures/products and develop sales support tools.
  5. Experience in building clinical education and marketing programs.
  6. Fluency in German and English.
  7. Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business.
  8. Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  9. Self-starter with leadership skills in unstructured environments.
  10. Project management skills, organizational abilities, and proficiency in MS Office.
  11. Ability to travel approximately 50%, including international travel.
