We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and project-oriented Marketing Manager to drive and be responsible for the business development of the Farmina brands in Germany, bringing synergy in marketing and commercial operations, through the implementation of the Farmina marketing strategy. The Marketing Manager will report directly to the Country Manager.

The ideal candidate should have experience in consumer & trade marketing, preferably in the Pet food industry or Pet Medicine and Pharmaceuticals and be able tothink strategically and execute flawlessly.

He/ She will work on building a marketing team, improving the team capacity, and bringing synergy in the execution of the business activities to hit commercial, financial, and marketing targets agreed upon with the company HQ. Moreover, he/she will be responsible for the planning and development of marketing strategies, together with Headquarters, to increase brand awareness and brand equity in the country of responsibility. Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta ads, and SEM, and CEO will be considered a plus.

Objective of the Role and Key Responsibilities

  • Developing synergy in the execution of the operational activities of the marketing and sales team.
  • Leading and coordinating (cross-functional teams working), for the implementation and execution of marketing activities and sales development across all channels: Digital/E-commerce, Pet shops, Veterinarians, and Breeders.
  • Supporting the sales team with marketing/sales actions in their operational activities.
  • Monitoring and analyzing the marketing activities' impact on sales development.
  • Marketing budget building and spending monitoring.
  • Marketing activities plan building and monitoring per market.
  • Marketing and sales activities performance monitoring and analyzing achieved results.
  • Implementation and participation in the improvement of the company's marketing strategy (bringing new ideas according to HQ marketing strategy).
  • Analyzing brand/activities, evaluation analysis on an ongoing basis, and recommending corrective actions if needed.
  • Overseeing brand standards implementation in the areas of product communication, price positioning, and recommending corrective actions when needed.
  • Keeping good relations with business partners.
  • Taking care of the proper localization of marketing and communication materials.
  • Coordinating brand presence in important B2C and B2B events.
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and communicating changes in the pet food category, and customer/channel dynamics, and recommending actions to address issues and opportunities.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of marketing experience, preferably within the pet food category or related fields.
  • Proven track record of managing marketing initiatives in the German market.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market dynamics in the region.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to drive brand growth.
  • Willingness to travel
