Role Overview

The Germany Marketing Manager is responsible for brand building, marketing strategy execution, and market promotion for POP MART in the German market. This role ensures a deep integration of the global brand strategy with local market dynamics to drive business growth and enhance brand influence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Citizenship or Work Permit is required.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with POP MART’s brand vision and business goals, ensuring a consistent approach across PR, commercial marketing, and product marketing.
  • Brand Development: Oversee the development and maintenance of POP MART’s brand identity, ensuring it remains consistent and appealing to the target audience.
  • Public Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, and key partners to enhance brand visibility and generate positive media coverage.
  • Social Media & Digital Marketing: Expand brand-focused social media presence to increase customer engagement and drive brand awareness in Germany.
  • Product Marketing: Lead product marketing efforts, including product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional activities, while ensuring alignment with market trends and consumer demand.
  • Event Marketing & Community Engagement: Plan and execute offline events, pop-ups, and community-driven marketing campaigns to enhance local customer engagement.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Budget Management: Manage and allocate marketing budgets efficiently to maximize return on investment (ROI).
  • Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and threats, adapting marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Establish KPIs and performance metrics for marketing initiatives, analyze campaign effectiveness, and optimize marketing efforts based on data insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in leadership roles in marketing, preferably in the retail, fashion, entertainment, or consumer goods sector.
  • Strong understanding of the German market and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and build high-performing marketing teams.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a data-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools, analytics, and digital platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of German, with proficiency in English; Chinese speaking is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Traits

  • Passion for Pop Culture: Familiar with POP MART and related products. Strong interest in designer toys, art, IP, and design, with keen insights into consumer preferences.
  • Relevant Work Experience: Background in leading internet/technology companies, Fortune 500 FMCG, 3C (consumer electronics), or related industries in marketing & branding roles. Cross-cultural team experience is essential.
  • Goal-Oriented: Results-driven, capable of independently leading brand marketing efforts in Germany while driving business growth.
  • Innovative Thinker: Enjoys exploring new trends and can develop localized marketing strategies aligned with POP MART’s brand DNA.
  • Strong Execution Skills: Able to not only develop strategies but also ensure seamless execution, efficiently managing cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Focuses on data analysis and applies scientific methods to optimize marketing strategies, maximizing ROI.
