KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY :
- Develop and oversee the execution and implementation of the marketing strategy for Ornua Foods Germany, home of Kerrygold brand. As a member of Ornua Germany's Senior Leadership Team, responsible for the success of our Brand, you will also play a key role in developing the wider business strategy and the overall performance, operation and direction of the business in Germany.
- Work closely, and aligned with the Global Brand team, to lead the development of strategic marketing plans for Kerrygold, referencing global brand charters where relevant, to drive local brand growth in line with short, medium, and long-term plans.
- Develop, lead, and set direction for a high-performing Marketing function, including the Brands and Creative teams, fostering a culture grounded in Ornua's competency and value framework.
- Take commercial responsibility for Brand performance, creating and driving marketing strategies that build on and enhance existing platforms and deliver tools for ongoing Brand value growth. Collaborate closely with the Sales Director and their team to ensure the achievement of brand objectives grounded in customer and consumer insights.
- Contribute to Global Marketing initiatives by identifying and driving strategic growth opportunities for Kerrygold globally, maintaining and enhancing its position as a premium dairy brand in key markets.
- Collaborate with Global Marketing & R&D colleagues to ensure a pipeline of product and packaging innovations that set the pace for the category and support our sustainability commitments.
- Represent Ornua Germany's portfolio of brands at the Executive level and with key stakeholders, ensuring clarity on each brand's value and role within their categories.
- Lead internal education initiatives to promote brand understanding and create internal excitement and pride.
- Ensure effective control and accountability of marketing activities, ROI, and budget management, with regular post-campaign reviews and analyses.
- Demonstrate strong commercial and financial acumen, understanding the impact of activities on the P&L.
- Drive a Packaging strategy that offers a compelling consumer offering while delivering on sustainability targets.
- Oversee legal aspects related to brand activity in Germany, collaborating with Ornua's Legal Team, including trademark, registration, legal challenges, licensing, and infringement issues.
- As a member of the Ornua Germany Senior Leadership Team, provide broader leadership and contribute to overall business strategy, modeling Ornua's values and competencies, and contributing beyond your functional area.
KEY REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor's and/or Masters degree in business, marketing, or a food-related discipline.
- Extensive relevant FMCG marketing and branding experience, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Experience partnering with Sales to drive growth.
- Passionate about brands and their potential to unlock value for the business and customers.
- A proven leader with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams that drive sales and market share growth.
- Understanding of grocery retail, consumer, and media markets, with an innate understanding of integrated brand communication.
- Experience managing external creative agencies for TV, media, and shopper programs.
- Excellent commercial acumen with P&L understanding and experience; able to contribute strategic insights to the wider business.
- Capable of initiating and driving change, supporting behaviors that facilitate this.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build valuable relationships internally and externally.
