Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and autonomous Market Development Manager to join our European team and support business growth in Germany. Reporting to the European Sales Director, this role involves developing relationships with key accounts, building a regional store network, and managing our independent customer base. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, proactive, mobile, and experienced in sales within retail or consumer goods sectors.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Support key accounts by building a regional store network and driving local initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with independent retailers, support product range discussions, new product launches, and brand execution.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our national distribution.
  • Develop and expand our presence in regional stores by visiting retailers across Germany, spending approximately one week per month in the field.
  • Maintain records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contracts.
  • Collaborate with the European Sales Director and International Senior Account Manager to execute the brand’s strategy in Germany.
  • Coordinate with the UK-based sales support team to ensure excellent customer service and order management.
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitors, and customer needs.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • 1-2 years of sales experience in retail or consumer goods brands.
  • Strong understanding of the German retail landscape and experience working with key accounts and independent retailers.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with excellent analytical and presentation skills.
  • Autonomous, proactive, results-driven, and excellent at building relationships.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within Germany.
  • Fluent in German; business proficiency in English.
