Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and autonomous Market Development Manager to join our European team and support business growth in Germany. Reporting to the European Sales Director, this role involves developing relationships with key accounts, expanding our regional store network, and managing our independent customer base. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, proactive, mobile, and experienced in sales within retail or consumer goods sectors.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Support key accounts by building a regional store network and driving local initiatives.
  2. Manage relationships with independent retailers, including support, product discussions, new launches, and brand execution.
  3. Identify and pursue opportunities to grow national distribution channels.
  4. Visit regional stores across Germany, conducting regular store visits (approximately one week per month) to strengthen relationships and ensure effective product representation.
  5. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contracts.
  6. Collaborate with the European Sales Director (UK) and International Senior Account Manager (US) to execute brand strategy in Germany.
  7. Work with the UK-based sales support team to oversee customer service and order management, ensuring excellent service levels.
  8. Provide insights on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

Qualifications & Experience :

  1. 1-2 years of sales experience in retail or consumer goods sectors.
  2. Strong understanding of the German retail landscape, with experience working with key accounts and independent retailers.
  3. Excellent analytical, presentation, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  4. Highly autonomous, proactive, results-driven.
  5. Excellent communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
  6. Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within Germany.
  7. Fluency in German; business-level English proficiency.
