Job Title : Market Development Manager – Germany

Location : Germany (Remote)

Role Summary :

We are looking for a highly motivated and autonomous Market Development Manager to join our European team and support the development of our business in Germany. Reporting to the European Sales Director, this role will involve supporting and growing relationships with key accounts, developing a regional store-level network, and managing and growing our independent customer base. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, proactive, mobile, and experienced in sales within the retail or consumer goods sector.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Key Account Support – build regional store-level network and drive local initiatives
  • Manage relationship with independent retailers - day to day support, product range discussions, new product launches and brand execution.
  • Business Development - identify and pursue opportunities to grow our national distribution.
  • Develop and expand our presence in regional stores, visiting retailers across Germany. Conduct regular store visits (spending approximately one week per month on the field) to enhance relationships and ensure strong product representation.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contract details.
  • Work closely with the European Sales Director (based in the UK) and International Senior Account Manager (based in the US) to shape and execute the brand’s strategy in the German market.
  • Work closely with the UK-based sales support team to oversee customer service and order management and ensure best in class service level to the German customers.
  • Provide insights on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a sales role within a retail or consumer goods brand.
  • Strong understanding of the German retail landscape and experience working with both key accounts and independent retailers.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly autonomous, proactive, and results-driven individual.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within Germany.
  • Fluency in German; business level in English.
