Marine Underwriter Global Risks

Your tasks:

• Responsibility for the implementation of the marine underwriting strategy within Marine Global Risks
• Development of coverage concepts in cooperation with our branch offices (co-underwriting)
• Decision regarding pricing and scope of cover
• Assumption of responsibility for the underwriting decision
• Portfolio steering regarding Marine Global Risks Hubs based on defined key performance indicators
• Implementation and maintenance of underwriting guidelines and standards (expert groups, audit, UW governance)
• Promoting collaboration with related functions in the home office as well as between the home office and branch offices
• Supporting the training of underwriters

Your profile:

• Completed training in insurance and finance and further training as an insurance specialist or completed studies with a focus on business administration or law
• Experience in underwriting in marine insurance, especially industrial risks
• Analytical skills and numerical reasoning
• Strong communication skills in conducting talks and negotiations
• Fluent in written and spoken English, other foreign languages welcome
• Willingness to travel within and outside Europe
