Overview

Are you a detail-driven engineer who thrives on optimizing processes and making production more efficient from the ground up? Jered-a PAR Systems company-is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who\'s ready to take ownership of the build process from kickoff through delivery. In this role, you\'ll transform complex engineering designs into actionable shop floor instructions, refine tooling and materials requirements, and lead process improvements across the plant. You\'ll collaborate with design, planning, purchasing, and production teams to deliver high-performance manufacturing solutions that meet quality, budget, and schedule goals.

Success Criteria: Your impact will be measured by how effectively you drive production efficiency, standardize work methods, and support lean initiatives. You\'ll “own” the product build lifecycle, ensuring optimal weld sequences, ergonomic workflows, cost-effective material usage, and accurate documentation from start to finish. To succeed in this role, you\'ll need a deep understanding of fabrication and assembly methods, mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to resolve production issues on the floor. Familiarity with ISO standards, MIL-SPEC compliance, and experience leading continuous improvement efforts will set you apart.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and convert engineering drawings into clear, efficient shop floor instructions
  • Plan and document weld sequences and fabrication work steps
  • Perform make/buy analyses and create accurate material demand plans
  • Create/edit raw material requirements and update engineering BOMs
  • Generate burn profile sketches and NC burn programs/nests for plate parts
  • Own and coordinate the full product build process—from kickoff to ship out
  • Ensure manufacturing equipment and work cells meet build sequence needs
  • Conduct daily shop floor audits to verify compliance and uncover improvement areas
  • Participate in DFM reviews, lessons learned, and process blueprinting
  • Collaborate with planning, design, and procurement to ensure efficient production
  • Troubleshoot and resolve engineering and mechanical issues on the floor
  • Define standard work and implement ergonomic workstation layouts
  • Drive lean manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma initiatives
  • Review and process ECOs/ECNs
  • Select and justify capital equipment investments
  • Implement custom tools and fixtures to enhance performance
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with MRP or shop floor control systems
  • Experience with MIL-SPEC requirements
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hands-on setting
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
