An ambitious and profitable European SaaS company is seeking a Managing Director for Germany to spearhead its growth and operations in the DACH region. The business is undergoing a stgnant period and needs to be revamped. We are looking for a dynamic commercial leader to build and lead the team in Cologne, drive the local go-to-market strategy, and elevate the company's footprint in the region.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-impact, people-first organization through its next phase of expansion in one of its key markets.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Own and execute the commercial strategy for the German market.
  • Drive revenue growth, ARR expansion, and long-term profitability.
  • Identify market trends and translate them into actionable growth initiatives.
  • Lead the transition from an inbound-led model to an outbound, proactive sales approach.

Team & Culture Building

  • Oversee operations and manage a cross-functional team (Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering).
  • Build a collaborative, in-office culture (3/4 days/week presence).
  • Coach and develop the commercial and leadership team.

Strategic Decision-Making

  • Collaborate with the executive board and local leadership team.
  • Define and monitor KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to overall strategic initiatives including retention, tooling, and operational scaling.

Who You Are

  • SaaS/Digital Native: 5–10 years of commercial leadership in B2B SaaS, tech, or digital commerce.
  • Proven People Leader: Experience as CEO, MD, or Senior Director in SaaS companies.
  • Execution-Oriented: You balance strategy with hands-on operational excellence.
  • Entrepreneurial: Comfortable working in fast-growth, scale-up environments.
  • Financially Literate: Familiar with performance management and governance best practices.
  • Excellent Communicator: You influence, motivate, and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Languages: Native-level German and fluent English are mandatory.
