Qualifikationen

About the Role

The organisation is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Managing Director to lead the business through its next phase of growth and development.

The Managing Director will have overall responsibility for the leadership, operational performance and strategic direction of the organisation, ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality care services.

A key element of the role will be supporting the identification, acquisition and successful integration of additional care businesses as the organisation continues to expand its footprint.

The successful candidate will combine strong operational leadership with commercial acumen, financial accountability and a strong understanding of the care services sector.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and deliver the organisation's strategic plan in alignment with the Board's vision and growth objectives.

• Provide strong leadership to the senior management team, fostering accountability, quality and continuous improvement.

• Identify opportunities for both organic and acquisitive growth within the care services sector.

Operational Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring consistently high standards of care delivery and service quality.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.

• Monitor operational and financial performance and implement improvements where required.

• Lead and develop a multi-site operational organisation.

Business Development & Growth

• Support the identification and evaluation of potential acquisition targets.

• Contribute to due diligence processes for prospective acquisitions.

• Lead the integration of newly acquired businesses, ensuring operational alignment, cultural integration and continuity of service.

• Identify opportunities to expand the organisation's market presence and service offering.

Financial Performance

• Take overall responsibility for financial performance, budgets and profitability.

• Ensure effective financial management, reporting and cost control.

• Work closely with the Board on sustainable growth and investment strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a senior representative of the organisation with regulators, partners, commissioners and other external stakeholders.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare partners, local authorities and other key stakeholders.

Quality & Governance

• Ensure consistently high standards of care, safety and safeguarding.

• Embed effective governance frameworks and a culture of continuous quality improvement.

• Maintain a strong focus on regulatory compliance and service quality.

Essential Experience

• Significant senior leadership experience, ideally at Director or Managing Director level.

• Demonstrable experience within the ambulatory / community care sector.

• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and operational requirements within care services.

• Proven ability to lead and scale service-based organisations.

• Experience managing multi-site service operations.

• Strong commercial and financial understanding.

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Desirable Experience

• Experience supporting or leading acquisitions within the care sector.

• Experience integrating newly acquired businesses into an existing organisation.

• Previous experience working within a private equity or investor-backed environment.

• Experience operating within a growing or rapidly changing healthcare organisation.

• German language skills would be advantageous.
