New Chapter Executive Search GmbH is supporting a leading international healthcare institution in recruiting a Director Quality & Patient Safety (m/w/d). Based outside Germany, the role is a full-time on-site leadership position reporting to the C-Level and tasked with guiding quality and patient safety across the organisation.

You will build and lead the quality management system, drive safety initiatives, coordinate audits, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifikationen

• JCI accreditation/re-accreditation experience is mandatory.

We are currently supporting a leading, state-of-the-art healthcare institution in the search for an experienced healthcare professional to join its senior leadership team as Director Quality & Patient Safety (m/w/d).

THE OPPORTUNITY

As part of a rapidly developing, internationally oriented hospital, you will take overall responsibility for quality management and patient safety across the organisation.

Reporting directly to the C-Level, you will lead the organisation’s quality and patient safety agenda, drive continuous improvement, and prepare the institution for its upcoming international accreditation cycle.

The position is based outside Germany and requires full-time on-site presence.

Your key areas of responsibility include:

• Lead and further develop the hospital-wide Quality Management and Patient Safety programme
• Manage and develop a dedicated quality and patient safety team
• Establish and strengthen a sustainable culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement
• Work closely with clinical and non-clinical leadership as well as senior stakeholders across the organisation
• Lead the preparation and implementation of the upcoming international accreditation/re-accreditation process
• Provide strategic quality and patient safety reporting to the C-Suite and Board

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and continuously develop the Quality Management System, including SOPs, clinical governance and corrective action plans
• Drive patient safety initiatives, including incident reporting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and risk management
• Lead clinical audits and organisation-wide quality improvement initiatives
• Coordinate the international accreditation and re-accreditation process end-to-end
• Define, monitor and report relevant quality and patient safety KPIs
• Develop, coach and lead the quality and patient safety team
• Partner with medical, nursing and operational leadership to embed quality standards across all departments
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and international accreditation standards

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in Medicine, Nursing, Healthcare Management, Public Health or a comparable discipline
• Extensive hands-on experience in hospital quality management and/or patient safety
• Proven JCI accreditation/re-accreditation experience – mandatory
• Proven Senior-level experience in a hospital environment
• Proven leadership experience in multidisciplinary and international environments
• Professional education and career experience in Europe, North America or Australia
• Excellent command of English and strong communication skills at C-Suite level
• Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on and pragmatic approach
