Qualifikationen

• 7-10+ years procurement experience, ideally in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.
• Strong execution discipline.
• Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory requirements, and pharmaceutical production processes (FDF, API, packaging).
• Extensive experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects in a global, matrixed environment.
• Strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under time pressure.
• Strong command of English; additional languages beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Lead strategic relationships with CMOs to improve cost, quality, delivery performance and innovation (annual spend $60-70M).
• Conduct regular business reviews (SRM) and monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and contractual compliance.
• Develop and execute cost saving initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Perform cost modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Negotiate supply agreements, pricing structures, service levels, and commercial terms.
• Ensure contract lifecycle management, renewal processes, and change control adherence.
• Cooperate with internal procurement teams to identify synergies and unlock supplier/product value.
• Build leverage and develop sourcing strategies with key global, regional and local suppliers.
• Screen product base and design re-sourcing strategies (insourcing, transfer, consolidation).
• Lead Supplier Relationship Management for assigned CMOs.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure GMP compliant supplier qualification and audit readiness.
• Support TechOps and R&D on technology transfers, scale up activities, and new product introductions.
• Work with Supply Chain on capacity planning, forecasting, risk mitigation and business continuity.
• Drive compliance with procurement processes, procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry or equivalent.
• Procurement or supply chain certification (e.g., CIPS, NEVI, APICS) is an advantage.
• 7-10+ years procurement experience, ideally in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.
• Strong execution discipline.
• Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory requirements, and pharmaceutical production processes (FDF, API, packaging)
• Extensive experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
