Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Significant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supplier management in regulated industries.
• Experience leading complex supplier negotiations and managing strategic supplier relationships.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in a global matrix environment.
• Strong business acumen balancing commercial, operational, quality and regulatory priorities.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing global categories and international supplier networks.
• Professional fluency in English.

This position works out of our Neustadt, Germany or Basel, Switzerland location in our medicines business, where we are seeking a strategic and collaborative procurement leader to join our Global Procurement & Third-Party Manufacturing Organization and help shape the future of our global supply network. This is a highly visible global leadership role responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for critical raw materials and packaging components supporting one of Abbott's most important pharmaceutical franchises.
