Manager, Software Development, EC2 Accelerated Nitro leads a team of engineers with strategic business impact. The role focuses on optimization and innovation of EC2 platforms to ensure peak performance, scalability, and robust reliability. You will build a high-performance organization by crafting vision, defining the technical roadmap, and partnering with Principal Engineers, Product Managers, and hardware/off-host software teams across locations and time zones. The role requires a technical background in operating systems and software development, strong product planning and program management, operational excellence, and excellent written and verbal communication skills to build trust with leadership and customers.

Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with customers who require specialized security solutions for cloud services.
You’ll hire talent to increase team effectiveness, operate the team’s software in production, anticipate problems, learn from mistakes, and ensure customer workloads run without disruption. You will drive the team roadmap, shape long-term vision, and collaborate with other EC2 Accelerated Nitro managers to strengthen engineering experience and organizational effectiveness. You will contribute to and influence the organization’s overall roadmap.
EC2 Accelerated Nitro aims to: (1) Leave no customer workload on-premises by engineering new EC2 instance families with hardware acceleration devices, and (2) Build the most feature-rich virtualization technology in the cloud.
