POLYVANTIS GmbH is seeking a results-oriented leader to head its European Road Logistics. You will drive end-to-end logistics strategy, optimize transport costs, and ensure reliable, high-quality delivery across Europe.

The role requires five-plus years in logistics with SAP S/4HANA WM/EWM, plus strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration. German and English fluency are essential, with opportunities for mobile/onsite work and a competitive compensation package.

Aufgaben

• Lead and continuously develop the European Road Logistics department.
• Oversee annual transportation of ~20 KT of shipments with cost-effective operations.
• Develop and implement European road transport strategies emphasizing cost efficiency and service quality.
• Ensure on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction through standardized logistics processes.
• Coordinate logistics activities across global locations to support business objectives.
• Monitor KPIs and derive actions to drive performance and continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement process improvements, synergies, and best practices across the network.
• Act as SAP Key User for shipping and logistics processes and support SAP-related projects.
• Lead, coach, and develop the European Road Logistics team with clear objectives and development plans.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead and continuously develop the European Road Logistics department, ensuring operational excellence and sustainable strategic growth.
• Oversee the annual transportation of approximately 20 KT of shipments, ensuring cost-effective and reliable logistics operations.
• Develop and implement European road transportation strategies with a focus on cost efficiency, quality, and service excellence.
• Ensure on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction through standardized logistics processes.
• Coordinate logistics activities across global locations to support the achievement of business objectives.
• Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), deriving actions to drive performance and continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement process improvements, synergies, and best practices across the European shipping network.
• Analyze operational requirements and develop efficient, fit-for-purpose logistics solutions.
• Drive process optimization, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.
• Act as SAP Key User for shipping and logistics processes.
• Support strategic logistics and supply chain projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and develop the European Road Logistics team by setting clear objectives, performance expectations, and individual development plans.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING

• An inspiring, results-oriented leader with a proactive mindset, strong commercial acumen, and a passion for delivering the best possible solutions to customers.
• Successfully completed vocational training or a degree in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain management, or a comparable field.
• At least five years of professional experience in logistics, ideally covering shipping, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
• Strong SAP expertise, preferably in SAP S/4HANA and the WM and/or EWM modules.
• Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to independently initiate, manage, and deliver projects successfully.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills, including reporting, data analysis, and KPI management.
• Basic knowledge of export and customs processes, including shipping documentation, Incoterms, and international transportation requirements.
