Job summary

Kuehne Nagel seeks a Head of Project Logistics Europe to lead and expand our European Project Logistics business. You will connect global strategy with regional execution, drive growth, and align stakeholders across countries and functions while maintaining strong governance and compliance.

You will manage about five direct reports with dotted-line teams, travel up to 50%, and base your operations from Hamburg HQ. A collaborative, strategic leadership style is essential to succeed.

As Head of Project Logistics Europe, you will lead and further develop our Project Logistics business across Europe, with a clear mandate to accelerate profitable growth, expand our market position and unlock new business opportunities across the region.

Reporting to the Global Head of Project Logistics, you will lead approximately five direct reports while holding dotted-line responsibility for Project Logistics teams within our national organizations. You will connect global strategy with local market execution, strengthen collaboration across countries and functions, and drive a strong commercial and growth agenda throughout Europe.

Success in this role will depend on your ability to identify growth opportunities, mobilize teams across the matrix and align diverse stakeholders around common commercial priorities.

How you create impact

• Lead and grow the Project Logistics business across Europe, translating the global strategy into clear regional and country priorities.
• Develop and execute the European growth agenda together with country leadership and national Project Logistics teams.
• Take ownership of the regional P&L, driving commercial performance, profitable growth and delivery against financial targets.
• Partner with Sales, Key Account Management and country organizations to identify, develop and convert strategic growth opportunities.
• Strengthen key customer relationships and accelerate new business development across European markets and industry segments.
• Leverage capabilities and expertise across countries to strengthen collaboration and ensure consistent execution of growth priorities.
• Ensure strong governance, operational standards, HSE, Ethics & Compliance as the foundation for sustainable growth.

What we would like you to bring

• Significant senior leadership experience within Project Logistics, ideally gained with a leading international player in the market.
• Deep understanding of complex project cargo, industrial projects and multimodal logistics solutions across European markets.
• Proven experience leading international teams across multiple countries, cultures and matrix structures, including direct and dotted-line leadership.
• Outstanding cross-functional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align Country Organizations, Sales, Key Account Management, Operations and global functions around common objectives.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L responsibility and a track record of driving profitable growth.
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers, build trusted strategic customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• A collaborative, pragmatic leadership style with the ability to influence without direct authority and turn global strategy into regional execution.
• Business-fluent English and willingness to travel internationally up to 50%.
