About the Opportunity

In this role, you will oversee and refine capital planning processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen risk governance. You will develop and implement methodologies for capital adequacy assessment, collaborating closely with various stakeholders.

In this role you will:
  • Lead and improve capital planning and ICAAP governance, ensuring effective risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage risk controlling activities, including RWA calculation, risk appetite, policy development, decision frameworks, limit setting, and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations such as MaRisk, CRR, ICAAP guidelines, and EBA standards.
  • Work with Finance, Treasury, and Risk teams to align capital planning with strategic objectives for sustainable growth.
  • Enhance risk reporting with insightful analysis supporting decision-making and discussions on capital adequacy.
  • Engage with auditors and regulators on ICAAP and capital planning topics.
What you need to be successful:
  • Master's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in risk management, financial risk controlling, or capital planning within banking.
  • Deep understanding of ICAAP, stress testing, and relevant regulations.
  • Experience in developing risk governance frameworks and aligning them with business strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex risk data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent English communication skills; proficiency in German is advantageous.
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for capital planning processes.
  • Strategic thinking with awareness of regulatory trends and proactive improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for financial risk management and problem-solving.
  • Willingness to learn and incorporate feedback.
