Job Description:

PURPOSE

This role is responsible for supporting strong product assortment/access for the Global Retail channel. It also assists in the implementation of the adidas Group Retail strategy consistently across all relevant Markets, consulting with Market Retail organizations. Moreover, it provides input to key projects and initiatives at HQ level. In addition, it will support the Market Retail organizations in optimizing each pre-seasonal plan, aligning strong products with lifecycles and supplies to meet evolving demand signals. Jointly with key stakeholders from the Global team and Market teams, it aligns on tactical trading signals that inform the next season.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support delivering overall product merchandising strategy of retail channel at a global level.
  • Support the global retail team in its work with BUs to ensure strong product assortment/access for both CS to drive end-to-end key account interaction model globally.
  • Collaborate with eCom to ensure an aligned approach as one DtC in terms of product ranges, access, and launch plan.
  • Assist in interactions with markets and global BUs to drive consistent and strong product presence in retail stores across all markets.
  • Provide input and participate in conversations with functional teams to influence and develop complete storytelling in the retail stores aligning with product ranges.
  • Build an active network and support the Global Sales Team for commercial product buy-related topics and projects.
  • Assist in any assigned projects in the Retail context.
  • Actively contribute to collating regular feedback from markets on commercial opportunities and brand presence in terms of product-related areas including competitor activity and prepare comprehensive reports for the Product merchandising team internally.
  • Provide input to the design of and implement a set of key merchandising reports that help evaluate the business goals with global cross-functional teams.
  • Support a culture of sharing and adopting best practices regarding the commercial product buy within the Global Sales Team and all interfacing teams as well as with the Markets.
  • Contribute to gathering best business practices related to product merchandising commercial success across Markets and turn them into industry-leading tools working closely with the Markets and the Global Sales Teams.

  • Advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Additional language is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of Retail Management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Structured, organized, and process-oriented.
  • Attention to detail as errors in analysis will have a crucial impact on business.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure.
