Interpath's Munich/Dusseldorf/Frankfurt office is seeking a Manager in Procurement Consulting to lead multi‑stakeholder procurement projects across Germany and beyond. You will help clients optimise purchasing, reduce costs, and improve EBITDA through robust sourcing, supplier management, and change initiatives.

The role involves managing on-site project teams, guiding negotiations, developing cost models, and presenting insights to CFO/COO.

Our German practice is led by a group of seasoned Managing Directors who specialise in delivering advisory services across Restructuring, Debt Advisory and Value Creation.

At Interpath, our Procurement Consulting team is part of our Value Creation service line and improving our client's results is our passion. Our client teams optimise our Client's purchasing strategies, reduce costs, and manage supplier relationships resulting in the optimisation of costs, liquidity, and investments.

As a Manager in the Procurement Consulting team, you will work with experienced colleagues to deliver multi-stakeholder, international and domestic Procurement projects while also raising the profile of Interpath as a premier provider of Value Creation advisory services.

The successful candidate will lead colleagues on a diverse range of client projects such as:

• Assess current procurement processes and collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and strategic priorities
• Identify improvement opportunities by analysing bottlenecks, inefficiencies, cost drivers, and risks across procurement, logistics, planning, and distribution
• Designing and implementing cost‑effective procurement strategies that ensure compliance in addition to a positive impact on EBITDA, working capital & operational KPIs
• Conducting supplier evaluations including leading negotiations, managing contracts including benchmarking against best practices to support ongoing supplier performance management
• Managing stakeholders and articulating procurement value to CFO, COO & supply chain leadership and preparing reports, forecasts, and spend analyses to inform strategic decision‑making
• Lead or support large‑scale change management transformation initiatives, including organisational restructuring, acquisition integration, and readiness planning for operational disruptions

A Manager in the Procurement Consulting team will have the opportunity to partake in business development and marketing activities and events. They will also expand their knowledge and experience by working with Managing Directors on additional topics along the value chain for Clients. The development of the Procurement Consulting service offering will further strengthen Interpath' market presence within the Value Creation marketplace.

Requirements

• Strong academic background, including potentially a Master's or PhD, combined with hands‑on experience in procurement consulting and project management
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and on‑site teams while assuming responsibility for cost control and implementation outcomes
• Proven consulting toolkit encompassing organizational change management, stakeholder alignment & training
• Strong commercial understanding including P&L impact and the ability to connect procurement to cash, EBITDA, working capital and operational KPIs
• Well‑developed stakeholder management and communication skills including the ability to articulate procurement value to CFO, COO & supply chain leadership
• Excellent category knowledge including category‑specific market dynamics, key suppliers, cost drivers, and negotiation levers
• Familiarity with eProcurement/P2PSystems, spend analytics tools & data visualization
• Excellent business development skills including support for pitch decks & proposal content build in addition to upselling and cross‑sell opportunities during delivery
• Well‑developed team leadership and coaching capabilities, particularly in fast paced environments, supported by excellent communication and influencing skills
• Native or business fluent proficiency in German and English (C1) required; additional European languages such as French or Spanish are advantageous
• Willingness to work on client sites across Germany, the EU, and internationally
