Your Responsibilities

As Manager Paper Mill (m/f/d), you will assume overall responsibility for the operational management of our paper production and all associated activities. In addition, you will be an active member of the management team.

• Ensure the optimal technical performance and efficiency of our machinery and equipment in order to achieve planned production targets on time and in line with our quality, quantity, and cost objectives
• Develop and implement detailed operational and strategic production plans, continuously seeking ways to reduce costs and optimize production, processes, and quality
• Initiate and lead projects for continuous improvement and performance enhancement
• Ensure compliance with legal and internal company requirements in the areas of safety, health, and environmental protection
• Promote the ongoing development of a strong safety culture with the goal of “zero accidents”
• Lead, coach, and develop the production team
• Actively participate in the strategic planning of the plant, contributing proposals and ideas to optimize its strategic direction
• Contribute to harmonizing site strategy with corporate strategy and vision

Your Profile

• Degree in engineering, ideally with a focus on paper technology or process engineering
• Several years of leadership experience in a production environment
• Significant experience in paper production
• Structured way of working, on time delivery and the ability to achieve complex objectives
• Solid project management experience and knowledge in lean management, total work systems, and continuous improvement
• Holistic entrepreneurial mindset, high self-initiative, decisiveness, courage, and the ability to drive change
• Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage representatives from a wide variety of target groups
• Flexibility, openness, and excellent skills in active communication
• Excellent abilities in maintaining and building relevant social relationships
• Very good command of German and English language, both spoken and written
