This role requires 5+ years in engineering, experience with high-volume production processes (laser welding, ultrasonic bonding/welding, soldering, adhesive dispense, etc.), GD&T

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience developing and implementing processes and equipment in high-volume production (laser welding, ultrasonic wire bonding, ultrasonic welding, soldering, adhesive dispense, fastening, resistance testing, assembly, vision inspection, etc)
• Proficiency in geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) and experimental design
• Capability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30%)
• Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials, or equivalent experience

In this role you will drive technological advancement across electrical interconnection, functional testing, mechanical joining, and computer/machine vision as part of a small, specialized team. Battery development is at the heart of our company, and this is an exciting opportunity to work directly on the central challenges with electric vehicles – battery cost and performance. Tesla is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team on extremely challenging projects.
