Tesla Germany is seeking an Engineering Manager to advance manufacturing processes for cutting-edge battery products in Berlin. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, design and run a prototype line with Battery Design collaboration, and push manufacturability improvements from prototype stages to full production.

Key responsibilities include resolving production issues via DFM/DFR, validating processes, and bringing innovative methods, technologies, and suppliers from concept to green light.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience developing and implementing processes and equipment in high-volume production (laser welding, ultrasonic wire bonding, ultrasonic welding, soldering, adhesive dispense, fastening, resistance testing, assembly, vision inspection, etc).
• Proficiency in geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) and experimental design.
• Capability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 30%).
• Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials, or equivalent experience.

In this role you will drive technological advancement across electrical interconnection, functional testing, mechanical joining, and computer/machine vision as part of a small, specialized team. Battery development is at the heart of our company, and this is an exciting opportunity to work directly on the central challenges with electric vehicles – battery cost and performance. Tesla is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team on extremely challenging projects.
