Aurubis will continue its investments in strategic large CapEx projects to further grow its core business and expand into additional markets while maintaining current profitability and sustainability. The centralized Group Engineering Organization (GEO) plays a key role by providing expertise and enhanced execution capabilities for successful project implementation. Coordination between commercial, technical/operational, and funding aspects is mission-critical.

As part of the Aurubis’ Group Engineering Organization (GEO), the Manager Large CapEx Projects is responsible for the efficient and successful realization of large-scale, complex CapEx projects and related workstreams. All projects follow a stage gate process with four phases and three gates.

The Manager leads the project team and is fully responsible for the business case, as well as all technical and commercial aspects. The role ensures safe delivery within budget and schedule, reporting directly to the project owner or steering committees.

Your Tasks

1. Oversee the realization of large CapEx projects.
2. Set up, coordinate, and monitor the project team.
3. Achieve project objectives related to safety, sustainability, environment, quality, schedule, and budget.
4. Communicate project status to stakeholders, including sponsors and steering committees.
5. Develop the professional and personal skills of team members.

Your Profile

1. Master's or Dipl.-Ing. degree in industrial, mechanical, process engineering, or equivalent; experience in process engineering projects is mandatory.
2. At least 5 years of experience managing complex process engineering projects.
3. Strong project management skills.
4. Ability to build, motivate, and lead teams; committed to self-development.
5. Willingness to travel internationally (Europe and North America).
6. Excellent networking skills with internal stakeholders.
7. Fluent in German and English (C level).
