Are you a strategic communicator passionate about storytelling, employee engagement, and impactful messaging? We are looking for an experienced communications expert to help shape how Abbott’s employees across EMEA connect with our culture, development opportunities, and benefits.

As Manager, HR Communications EMEA, you will serve as a strategic communication partner to HR leaders and project teams across a diverse geography. You will translate complex initiatives into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with various internal audiences, from manufacturing floors to corporate offices. This role is ideal for a seasoned communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and has a strong background in campaign management, change communication, and stakeholder engagement.

What You’ll Do

  • Innovate and manage regional communication campaigns to maximize employee understanding of benefits, development opportunities, and talent programs

  • Ensure regional and country-level messaging aligns with Abbott’s global brand voice while remaining relevant locally

  • Partner with HR leaders across EMEA to craft messages supporting business transformation, change management, and employee engagement

  • Collaborate with global teams, Public Affairs, and external vendors to deliver high-impact content and campaigns

  • Ensure all messaging reflects Abbott’s employer brand, employee value proposition, and corporate identity

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field

  • 6–10 years of experience in communications, preferably in a corporate, global, or agency setting

  • Proven experience delivering strategic counsel to senior leaders and managing complex communication projects independently

  • Strong writing, storytelling, and content development skills across digital and traditional channels in English

  • Excellent project management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a global team and collaborating across regions

  • Fluency in English is essential
