Aufgaben

Responsibilities

We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Manager to join our Corporate Operational Excellence team. The successful candidate will lead and support the implementation of operational excellence projects across ZEISS globally, focusing on Industry 4.0 initiatives. Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes and enhance efficiency through Industry 4.0 measures (e.g., automation, digitalization)
• Consulting internal clients to develop holistic solutions based on best practices, with an emphasis on standardization
• Identifying improvement opportunities and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements leveraging technological advancements
• Leading and supporting strategic continuous improvement initiatives focused on Industry 4.0
• Collaborating with the Corporate Operational Excellence team, Operations, IT departments, and external partners to develop and maintain best practices and procedures
• Managing budgets and resource allocation for high-impact projects
• Providing leadership, mentorship, and fostering a high-performance culture
• Coaching and developing skills in continuous improvement globally

Profil

Requirements

• Master's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Several years of experience in production optimization or operational excellence, preferably in a consultancy environment
• Strong understanding of integrating production principles with Industry 4.0 technologies such as automation and digitalization
• Excellent project management skills
• Proven track record in operational excellence and cultural transformation
• Analytical skills for complex data sets
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
