Boundless, a leading immigration tech company headquartered in Seattle, WA, is seeking a remote Manager, Client Counsel to lead and empower a team of attorneys (called Client Counsels) to consistently deliver exceptional service and to drive continuous improvement across the customer journey.

This is a high level role working in a non-traditional legal setting with distributed team members in the U.S. and the Philippines. You will be part of a small and collaborative team within a 350+ company with a flat organizational structure where ideas are welcomed regardless of an employee's tenure.

As Manager, Client Counsel you will foster professional growth of attorneys through coaching, structured development, and clear guidance, while ensuring a seamless, high-quality client experience by balancing daily execution with long-term process enhancements.

Here are the key highlights about the role:

  • Salary Range: $130K/year to $192K/year. Total compensation offered for this role will be dependent on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and abilities as demonstrated in the interview and hiring process.
  • Work Location: Fully Remote (with options for hybrid work if you are based in Seattle).
  • Bar Admission: Seeking candidates admitted in Arizona or in jurisdictions with reciprocity with Arizona for admission on motion. (During the interview process, we will walk you through the reasons for this).
  • Benefits:Generous benefits and perks for W-2 employees and 1099 contractors.
  • Start Date:As soon as possible.

More About You

You’re deeply passionate about U.S. immigration law. This isn’t just a job for you–it’s a calling.

You have 10+ years of business immigration experience spanning the full gamut of NIV and IV case matters including H-1B, H-1B1, L-1A/B, E-3, TN, O-1, PERM, EB-1, EB2/3 I-140 (including NIW and Schedule A) AOS, and both NIV and IV consular processing.

In addition, you have 5+ years of experience managing direct reports including regular performance reviews and career development. You also have the ability to oversee and provide legal supervision on a reasonably high case volume and work under time pressure.

More of What You Will Do

  • Team Leadership & Development:Coach, counsel, and support client-facing attorneys. Establish short, medium, and long-term professional development goals for each team member and empower their achievement. Provide regular feedback and conduct annual performance reviews. Onboard new team members.
  • Workforce Management:Monitor legal team capacity and suggest process improvements to make the best use of attorney time. Monitor, organize, and encourage team PTO, balancing individual needs with overall team capacity.
  • Knowledge & Process Management:In partnership with leadership and cross-functional teams, build and maintain a resource library of best practices. Build new and refine existing attorney processes in collaboration with other leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Legal Strategy, Issue Resolution & Escalation point:Provide strategic guidance and serve as the primary escalation point for the team and track key issues. Partner with other leaders and subject matter experts to proactively identify and minimize issue occurrences.
  • Case Management & Compliance:Collaborate with internal teams and clients to proactively identify and resolve case delays or obstacles. Ensure the team's adherence to all relevant immigration laws, regulations, and company policies. Regularly review and update internal procedures to reflect legal changes and best practices. Conduct periodic audits of attorney work to maintain high legal standards.
  • Strategic Cross-functional Collaboration:Act as a liaison between the Client Counsel team and other departments to facilitate seamless service delivery.
  • Reporting & Analytics:Analyze reports on team performance metrics, client feedback, and legal trends to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Utilize data to identify areas for process optimization and training needs.
