As an independent company within the Otto Group, we bundle and manage all payment activities for the OTTO marketplace. In this way, we offer a future-oriented and flexible customer-oriented payment process. The combination of e-commerce and payment management brings with it challenges that are characterized by the interesting interaction between customers, merchants and regulation.

Our Finance department makes a significant contribution to the long-term positive economic development of OTTO Payments and thus the otto.de marketplace. The Accounting team currently consists of three employees who handle all accounting-related projects, VAT and reporting. We are supported by the Group's internal Accounting Service for day-to-day accounting.

You can organize your working hours flexibly from your home office or another location for up to 60% of the month. The right balance between presence in the office and mobile working will be agreed in the team and with your manager.

What you can expect:

• As the central contact person for the Finance department, you will play a key role in the internal prioritization process.
• You are responsible for the introduction of new products and process design with a focus on accounting.
• You will also act as the initial contact person for projects in Finance Controlling and Operational Controlling.
• You formulate process requirements for the finance area and coordinate these with the product teams.
• Through your analyses, you identify errors and answer specific questions.
• You test the implementation of the requirements and approve them technically.
• You will also optimize processes and increase the level of automation.
• Finally, you ensure the reconciliation between the general ledger and subledger.

What we are looking for:

Must-have:

• You have a degree in business administration or have successfully completed training as an accountant and have project experience.
• You are highly motivated to tackle complex issues and find effective solutions.
• You are characterized by your ability to recognize overarching contexts and maintain an overview even in challenging situations.
• You also have sound professional experience in recording and describing requirements.
• A strong affinity for IT and a good understanding of IT systems are among your strengths.
• You also have experience in testing processes and systems.
• Your way of working is characterized by collaboration, team orientation and very good communication skills in German.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage and will further enhance your profile.
