Humboldt Wedag GmbH, part of the KHD Group, is seeking a Maintenance & Testing Technician to maintain, repair and modify plant equipment. You will support pilot plant trials, perform analyses, and document results in close collaboration with process engineers.

The role requires vocational training in industrial mechanics or related fields and strong German language skills, with good English, plus proficiency in Excel. Hybrid work options and company benefits are available.

Aufgaben

• Perform maintenance, repair, assembly and modification work on machinery and equipment.
• Prepare and support trials in the pilot plant, including sample handling.
• Conduct sieve analyses, grinding tests and particle size measurements with engineers.
• Evaluate and document test results; support procedure improvements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in R&D projects.
• Maintain safe, reliable and efficient operations in a lab/plant setting.

Your mission

• Perform maintenance, repair, assembly, and modification work on machinery, equipment, and apparatus
• Prepare, set up, and support trials in the pilot plant, including sample splitting and preparation
• Conduct a range of analyses, including sieve analyses, grinding tests, particle size measurements, and wet-chemical concentration analyses, in close cooperation with process engineers
• Evaluate, analyze, and document test and trial results
• Support the continuous improvement and optimization of test procedures and equipment
• Collaborate with changing interdisciplinary teams as part of industrial research and development projects

Your profile

• Completed vocational training as an Industrial Mechanic, Process Technician for Mineral Processing, Apparatus and Equipment Technician, Plant Mechanic, Construction Materials Tester, or a comparable qualification
• Very good command of German and good written and spoken English
• Confident use of MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Enjoy working on varied tasks and collaborating with different teams
• Independent, reliable, and responsible approach to work
• Strong interest in industrial research and development
• Excellent practical and technical skills
• Ideally, experience with common welding processes such as manual metal arc welding (MMA), MAG, and TIG
