The Hoxton in Berlin is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our hotel team. You will coordinate day-to-day maintenance, support preventative tasks and ensure high operational standards for a welcoming environment.

Fluent German and English, a vocational trade, and 2–3 years of relevant experience are preferred. This on-site role offers a competitive package and opportunities to contribute to sustainable hotel operations.

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and help create the kind of experiences our guests come back for.

Our first Hoxton in Germany is home to 234 bedrooms of varying sizes, a vibrant wintergarden featuring all-day dining, a lively lobby and bar, a streetside terrace, and The Apartment – our unique meetings and events concept.

Working closely with our Maintenance Manager and the wider hotel team, you'll play a key role in keeping The Hoxton running smoothly behind the scenes. From coordinating day-to-day maintenance tasks and supporting preventative maintenance to resolving technical issues and ensuring high operational standards across the hotel, you'll help create a safe, well‑maintained and welcoming environment for both our guests and our team.

Job Description

What you'll do...

• Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules & tests and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
• Oversee maintenance operations and champion initiatives that promote sustainability and environmentally responsible practices.
• Supervise and train workers.
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities. cleaning and oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
• Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
• Conduct preventative maintenance work.
• Conduct follow‑ups on all maintenance and repair work.
• Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
• Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time
• Fault repair, maintenance of equipment, plumbing, furniture and lighting.
• Perform general tasks such as connecting equipment, lighting, installing locks and hinges etc.
• Accurate control of the work and your own workspace and equipment.
• Prepare order and stock takes.
• Cover Maintenance Technicians shifts as required.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for…

• Completed vocational training in a relevant field (Electrical, Plumbing, Building Services, or a related trade)
• Ideally 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, Electrician, or in a similar role
• Fluent in both German and English (any additional language is a plus)
• Solid technical knowledge and strong problem‑solving skills
• Flexibility to work shifts, including varying working hours
• Skilled in carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks
• A team player who is equally comfortable working independently
