Qualifikationen

  • Experienced in Reliability & Maintenance Management Techniques (RCM/RCA’s/FMECA’s).
  • Fluency in English required; German is a plus.
  • Trained in the application of RCM methodologies, preferably in a Facilitator role.

We are actively looking for a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to join our Team!

The main purpose of the Maintenance & Reliability Engineer is to continuously improve the operational and vessel performance through the application of reliability engineering principles, proactive planned maintenance management and the use of innovative technical and operational solutions on-board the Company vessels.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures vessel reliability is improved and the up time of the vessels is maximized.
  • Ensures the maintenance practices on board the Company vessel are in line with industry best practice and fit for purpose.
  • Develops robust processes and procedures pertaining to maintenance and the management of maintenance.
  • Ensures that root causes of technical failures are identified, communicated across the fleet and mitigations implemented to prevent future reoccurrences.
  • Actively support drydocks and technical projects by contributing to improvement initiatives, budget monitoring, and other tasks in collaboration with Technical Superintendents.
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of and adherence to the Business Management System (BMS) framework and governance
  • Ensure accurate implementation and ongoing management of the Preventive Maintenance Plan in the CMMS.
  • Continuously improve the PM Plans using insights from fleet performance and OEM recommendations
  • Focal point for the development and compilation of the new CMMS within the new software package
  • Works with the Shipmanagement Team and the Offshore crews to identify process and procedural changes and improvements.
  • Monitors operational performance of the vessels and compares and analyses the performance data across the fleet.
  • Continuously reviews the vessel maintenance schedules, identifying and highlighting any improvement opportunities.
  • Management of the Condition Monitoring (CM) Program and 3rd Party Vendors to improve vessel availability and reduce downtime, identifying and implementing new/alternative CM techniques in accordance with Company Condition Monitoring Strategy (CMS) and Vessel Maintenance Policy
  • Identifies and proposes improvement opportunities and technology solutions to resolve plant and equipment or procedural issues.
  • Undertakes Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)/Failure Mode Effect Criticality Analysis (FMECA) studies on key systems onboard the vessels and identifies critical spares requirements.
  • Performance monitoring and comparing and analyzing vessel performance across the fleet

Qualifications

  • Degree/HND/HNC in an engineering subject or equivalent engineering experience
  • Experienced in Reliability & Maintenance Management Techniques (RCM/RCA’s/FMECA’s) & best practices.
  • Fully conversant with the legislative and regulatory requirements for marine equipment and systems
  • Relevant experience in the inspection and maintenance of marine equipment and systems
  • ISO Cat Level 1 Condition Monitoring – preferred
  • An understanding and knowledge of marine and shipboard systems is desirable.
  • Trained and experienced in the application of RCM methodologies & best practices, preferably in a Facilitator role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient and experienced in writing detailed technical reports.
  • Team player, adaptable, supportive and accepts challenges.
  • Experienced in working with different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Able to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of CMMS Operation Systems
  • Fluency in English is required. German is a great plus
