As a Machining Mechanic / Lathe Operator at our customer Lufthansa Technik AG in Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel, you will bring your passion for machining and metal processing to bear. The gross annual salary is between €30,800 and a maximum of €44,600, depending on qualifications. Please note that we can only consider candidates who have a valid, unrestricted work permit for the EU (no student visa).

Job description

Tasks

• Operation and programming of NC lathes (control Siemens 840D/ Monforts Control Euro Turn)
• Manufacturing of products according to work plan and drawing
• Turning on conventional lathes
• Machining of large parts up to a maximum diameter of 1500 mm
• Constant dimensional control during production
• Carrying out quality control on machined components and workpieces
• Maintenance and care of machine tools
• Independent setup and selection of tools

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a machinist (with a focus on turning, no milling or grinding)
• Qualification in the field of machining
• Basic knowledge of various manufacturing processes and material properties
• Experience in NC/CNC programming and turning as well as in the use of conventional lathes
• Technical understanding and manual aptitude and the ability to understand technical drawings, understand technical drawings
• Proficiency in English, at least level B2
• An existing, unrestricted work permit for the EU (not a student visa) is mandatory
