Job summary

NEWNOW Group is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to work on real ML tasks across various stages of the ML lifecycle. You will support the development and evaluation of machine learning models and integrate them into larger software systems.

The ideal candidate should have a background in Computer Science or related fields, with an understanding of core ML concepts. The position offers remote-first flexibility, mentorship with C-level leaders, and hands-on experience in cutting-edge AI projects.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or recently completed BSc/MSc in relevant fields.
• Understanding of core ML concepts: classification, regression, model evaluation.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support development, training, and evaluation of machine learning models.
• Work with data pipelines, experiments, and model iterations.
• Help integrate ML models into larger software systems.
• Document work and share learnings with the team.

Job description

You will work on real ML and software engineering tasks across different stages of the ML lifecycle - not toy problems. Depending on your background, you may focus on data processing, model development, or supporting deployment workflows.

• Document your work and share learnings with the team

What you bring

• Enrolled in or recently completed BSc/MSc in Computer Science, ML, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Understanding of core ML concepts: classification, regression, model evaluation
• Familiarity with generative AI concepts (Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI API, or similar)
• Motivated to work independently on defined tasks
• Fluent English (German is a plus)

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building ML models outside of coursework
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn
