Our client is a global investment bank specializing in M&A and private capital advisory services. The role is based in their Frankfurt office and embedded into a larger international team. The successful candidate will work as an assistant to 4 or 5 junior bankers and will report to an M&A Execution Assistant based in London.
Execution Assistant
Execution Assistants play an integral role in supporting the firm’s merger and acquisition advisory activities. As an Execution Assistant, you will have a high-level of exposure to specific Industry Group teams and complete critical tasks, initiatives, and special projects related to the firm’s M&A execution efforts. The role is a maternity leave cover and is a fixed-term contract until February 2027.
Along with supportfrom your deal team, you will:
- Assist the M&A Industry Group with the preparation, editing and distribution of M&A deal/marketing materials
- Research and collect data points and client information using CRM and other external resources; update databases and materials as needed
- Create buyer packs, which includecompany overviews, transaction history, news articles,etc.
- Attend deal-related meetingsand identify subsequent action items
- Maintain files (often PowerPoint and Excel) relatedto multiple, concurrent deals
- Assist in developing Market/Industry Updates and reports; researchindustry trends, buildinga robust understanding of the deal team’s industry
- Plan management presentation and closing dinnerlogistics, including traveland event coordination
- Assist with special projects
Coverage team responsibilities:
- Assists individuals with origination tracking and organization; including researching Private Equity Group (PEG) and portfolio companies, pulling relevant reports,conducting weekly meetingsand managing updates.
- Assists team with lead trackingby maintaining the dashboard, attendingthe weekly meeting,making amendments and circulating updates.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Produces weekly reportingfor the Frankfurt team including the weekly Team Europe Dashboard and To Do list.
- Scheduling and travel logistics for Frankfurt team
- Team expenses
- Manages on-site clientmeeting logistics
- Schedules meetings and all meetingrequirements
- Assists with the development and distribution of meeting materials
The successful candidate should bring the following qualities
- Ability to interacteffectively with management at all levels
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe PDF and researchtechniques
- Organized and able to managemultiple priorities
- Collaborative working style
- Proficient in proofreading with strong attentionto detail
- 1+ years of professional experience
Other Requirements
In order to be considered, you must have a valid work permit and you must speak and write both German and English fluently.
