As a M&A Analyst (m/f/d) you will report to the M&A Senior Director in the Strategy based in Obernai, Paris, Blieskastel or Frankfurt for a Permanent contract.

What you will do?

Reporting to our M&A and Partnership SD, your main responsibilities will span the full cycle of acquisition and divestment processes:

  • Improving our M&A governance, processes, and existing tools.
  • Defining, prioritizing, and selecting M&A projects in close collaboration with our Strategy team.
  • Analyzing investment/divestment opportunities and presenting conclusions (strategic, financial, structural, etc.) to internal decision-makers.
  • Project management in close cooperation with internal stakeholders: Hager Group top management, business unit leaders, and the strategic, legal, and technical teams.
  • Managing external stakeholders: counterparts, partners, advisors (investment banks, lawyers, due diligence experts).
  • Performing valuations, financial modeling, and other financial analyses (impact assessments, etc.).

What about you?

  • You hold a degree from a business or engineering school and have a solid experience (3+ years) in corporate M&A or in an M&A advisory firm, working closely with executive teams.
  • You are fluent in English; proficiency in French and German is a real plus.
  • You have strong skills in corporate finance, business valuation, and complex cross-functional project management, with a sharp business sense.
  • You are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with advanced analytics and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Mekko Graphics) is a plus.
  • Your communication skills, commitment, adaptability, and curiosity will be key assets for success.
  • An interest or background in the Electrical or Energy Management sector is also a plus.
