Your mission

1. Identify and assign correct tariff codes for new products
2. Maintain an up-to-date database of tariff codes and related documentation
3. Prepare and send detailed customs clearance instructions for all shipments
4. Liaise with customs agents to ensure smooth clearance processes
5. Research and compare freight costs by sea and air
6. Provide detailed overviews and recommendations on the best modes of transport for different shipments
7. Create and manage shipments in our ERP system and monitor incoming goods and ensure accurate inventory updates
8. Check and approve invoices from freight forwarders and warehouses, ensure all charges are correct and match the agreed terms
9. Possess a solid understanding of logistics charges, including VAT, tax, and duties
10. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and requirements

Your profile

1. You have a completed degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
2. 3+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
3. Extensive experience in working with customs authorities and processes in Europe and/or USA
4. Great English AND German communication skills, both in written and spoken language
