Introduction
As a Logistics Employee, you ensure that materials, components, and systems are available at the right place at the right time. Together with your colleagues, you help maintain a smooth flow of materials between goods receipt, warehouse operations, production, and shipping.
In this role, you combine hands-on warehouse logistics with a strong understanding of operational processes and the confident use of ERP systems. You take on a variety of day-to-day tasks, ensure inventory accuracy, and actively contribute to maintaining a reliable and efficient supply of materials for our production operations.
Your Responsibilities and Duties
- Picking materials and components based on production and customer orders in the ERP system
- Performing milk-run deliveries and supplying materials within the production area
- Storing goods in high-bay warehouses, bin storage systems, and small-parts warehouses
- Handling material put-away and recording material movements in the ERP system
- Transporting goods and assemblies between our locations
- Conducting inventory checks and supporting stocktaking activities
- Maintaining storage locations, warehouse structures, and material labeling
- Ensuring orderliness, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety standards in the warehouse
- Providing materials for production, assembly, and project teams
- Supporting the packaging of assemblies and systems for internal and external transportation
- Processing stock transfers, returns, and material take-backs
- Inspecting material conditions and reporting discrepancies or damage
- Supporting the optimization of logistics workflows and warehouse processes
- Contributing to the implementation of 5S, Lean, and Continuous Improvement (CIP/KVP) initiatives
- Supporting the shipping department as needed and providing backup coverage when required
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Completed vocational training in logistics, warehousing, warehouse operations, or a comparable qualification
- Experience in warehouse logistics, materials management, or production logistics
- Proficient in the use of ERP systems and digital warehouse processes
- Good understanding of material flows and production processes
- Valid forklift license and practical experience operating industrial trucks and material handling equipment are an advantage
- Structured and detail-oriented way of working
- Strong commitment to quality and a high sense of responsibility
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Willingness to take on a variety of tasks and adapt flexibly to different logistics-related responsibilities
