Ziorem is seeking a Local Procurement Technician for Germany to support a major industrial and energy project in Berlin. The role focuses on local procurement activities in Germany, supplier management with German vendors, RFQ handling and bid evaluations to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in a technical field and have at least 3 years of German market procurement experience, including supplier negotiations and PO follow-ups.

As part of our Engineering division, we are seeking a Local Procurement Technician – Germany to participate in an important industrial and energy project in Berlin, linked to the construction and development of a Waste-to-Energy plant.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing local procurement activities in Germany, working directly with German suppliers and supporting the project’s material and service procurement requirements. The role will involve supplier sourcing and qualification, RFQ management, technical and commercial bid evaluations, negotiations, purchase order follow-up and supplier coordination.

*THIS POSITION IS BASED IN BERLIN (GERMANY) AND REQUIRES PREVIOUS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE IN PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT WITHIN THE GERMAN MARKET.*

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, source and develop local suppliers and vendors in Germany according to the project’s requirements.
• Manage RFQs, collecting and analysing technical and commercial offers.
• Prepare bid comparisons and support the evaluation and selection of suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, commercial terms, delivery schedules and supply conditions with German suppliers.
• Prepare, manage and follow up purchase orders and related procurement documentation.
• Maintain direct communication with suppliers and monitor orders, deliveries and potential issues.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Planning and Logistics teams regarding project procurement requirements.
• Support the qualification, evaluation and development of new local suppliers.
• Identify potential procurement and supply deviations and follow up on the actions required for their resolution.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education relevant to technical procurement and industrial projects.
• Additional training in technical procurement, supplier management, EPC projects or contract administration will be valued.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain in Germany.
• Proven experience managing German suppliers and vendors.
• Experience in RFQ management, bid analysis, commercial negotiations and purchase order follow-up.
• Previous experience performing local procurement activities in Germany, preferably within industrial, energy, construction or EPC projects.
• Experience in Waste-to-Energy, energy, infrastructure or large-scale industrial projects will be highly valued.

• German native or bilingual, required.
