Hyndburn Borough Council is seeking a Local Land Charges Officer to join the team in Accrington. The role is part-time (19 hours per week) with a hybrid pattern offering 2 days remote.
Salary ranges from £30,023 to £32,578 per year, pro rata. The post involves registering local land charges with HM Land Registry, maintaining the local land charges register, and handling CON29 enquiries with timely, accurate replies.

The post holder will need to work to deadlines whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and a good attention to detail in accordance with Land Registry requirements. They will have a strong customer service ethos and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and their professional advisers. They will also work closely with HM Land Registry and officers in other council service areas who also contribute to the local search process. The postholder must be able to work on their own initiative, able to understand and extract information from maps and be confident in using IT systems.
