For our German office based in the city center of Frankfurt am Main, we are currently looking for an experienced Local Head of FMCG Germany.
This person will manage a team of Finance Managers and Financial Controllers to ensure the financial performance of funds, oversee all financial aspects of fund vehicles, and deliver fund reporting in accordance with client, regulatory, and internal requirements.
Additionally, this individual manages the performance and development of the FMCG team members in line with management objectives. They provide clear leadership, are delivery-focused, and support the team in a changing environment.
Key Accountabilities :
- Overall financial management of funds/separate accounts within scope:
- Manage investment structures, including cash management, tax structure maintenance, compliance, and financial statement preparation.
- Oversee cash forecasts and capital call/distribution determinations.
- Execute financing strategies and currency/interest rate hedgings where relevant.
- Monitor financing covenants.
- Ensure compliance with fund/mandate documentation.
- Monitor fund performance, including cash flows (actuals and forecasts).
- Coordinate with Fund Management and Asset Management on controlling and production tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assess external provider performance and ensure governance compliance.
- Ensure data quality in the global IT system and support provider onboarding.
- Provide real estate KPIs and oversee financial statements (German GAAP and IFRS), budgets, and deviation analyses.
- Ensure timely client reporting and harmonize controlling processes.
- Act as main contact for clients and internal teams, addressing requests promptly.

- Communicate effectively internally and externally.
- Motivate the team and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Participate in transversal projects and support global initiatives.
- Collaborate with other local teams to improve processes and share best practices.
- Act as a change agent within Germany and the business line.
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned, ensuring sound risk management in line with frameworks.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration (Controlling or Finance) or similar qualification.
- Proven fund management and financial management experience, with knowledge of European real estate fund structures.
- Experience in audit, fund accounting, controlling, and financial control, preferably in real estate.
- Experience in Real Estate, Asset Management, or Project Management is a plus.
- Proven leadership skills in managing teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong skills in accounting (IFRS), tax, and cash flow modelling.
- Fluent in English and German (oral and written).
